What the GT-50 is good at
Tripod turnstiles are the most common entry control product in gyms and sports facilities for a straightforward reason: they enforce one-person-per-authorisation reliably, take up little floor space, and cost considerably less than a speed gate. The GT-50 fits that role with a cleaner finish than most tripods in its price range, which matters in gyms and studios where the entrance is part of the member experience. The 550 mm passage width is comfortable for adults with bags and gym equipment, though at that width the gate is not suitable for wheelchair users. A swing gate installed alongside covers that requirement and is a popular combination for fitness centres and swimming facilities.
Security & safety
One authorisation allows one person through per cycle, and the arm rotation mechanically prevents a second person from following without a separate valid credential. Tailgating attempts trigger an alarm. On power loss or fire alarm the arms drop automatically, leaving the passage fully clear for emergency egress. Reverse-direction entry triggers an alarm separately. Anti-passback support prevents the same credential being used twice in succession without an exit event in between.
User experience
Green and red LED indicators on the top of the unit show passage status clearly from a distance, which keeps flow moving without hesitation. At 35 persons per minute the throughput is sufficient for peak hours at most gym and sports facility entrances. The compact 280 mm body depth fits narrow reception areas without requiring layout changes. The reader mount is located under the top cabinet, keeping the credential hardware integrated into the unit rather than on a separate external bracket.
Integration & customisation
Connects to any access control system over dry contact or RS485. Compatible with RFID, QR, barcode, fingerprint, face recognition and remote control credentials. Available in white and black as standard, with custom RAL powder coat colours on request. Logo can be printed on the top plate. IP65 is available for outdoor installations.
Durability & environment
IP54 as standard, upgradeable to IP65 for outdoor or high-cleaning environments. Rated for -20 to +55 degrees Celsius and up to 95 percent humidity non-condensing, covering unheated entrance halls and facilities that clean with chemicals daily. Stainless steel arms and a galvanized steel body handle the humidity and daily contact typical of gym and sports facility entrances. 10-million-cycle mechanical service life.
