What the 700 E N1 is good at

The bridge-frame design places a post on each side of the passage, which gives a stable platform for mounting a reader on each side without an external bracket. The same one-person-per-authorisation principle applies as with any tripod: the arm rotation allows one passage per valid credential, and reverse-direction entry is mechanically blocked. The bridge frame also gives a more defined entrance channel than a single-post design, which suits installations where visual separation of the entry point matters. At 500 mm passage width the gate is not suitable for wheelchair users, and a swing gate alongside covers that requirement.

Security & safety

One authorisation allows one person through per cycle. Tailgating and reverse-direction attempts trigger an alarm. On power loss the arms freewheel to allow free passage in both directions as standard. On fire alarm the gate switches to free passage mode and returns to normal operation when the alarm clears. Drop-arm safety is available as an option for installations where the arms must drop fully clear of the passage on emergency.

User experience

Side LED indicators show passage direction and status on both sides of the bridge, readable from a distance. At 30 persons per minute the throughput is adequate for most facility entrance volumes. Operation modes including bi-directional controlled, entry-controlled exit-free, and free passage are configurable via dip switch or iOS and Android app without rewiring. All past configuration changes are stored on the server and can be retrieved.

Integration & customisation

Connects to any access control system over dry contact as standard, with RS485, RS232 and TCP/IP available as options. Compatible with RFID, QR, barcode, fingerprint, face recognition and remote control credentials. Frame finish available in 304 stainless steel standard, 316 grade for corrosive environments, or powder coated to any RAL colour. Drop-arm option, heating unit and mounting base available on request.

Durability & environment

IP54, rated for -20 to +55 degrees Celsius and up to 95 percent humidity non-condensing, covering all Nordic outdoor conditions year-round. The 304 stainless steel frame handles rain, salt air and the cleaning chemicals typical of outdoor public entrances. An optional heating unit extends operation to lower temperatures for sub-arctic sites. 10-million-cycle mechanical service life.
