What the GT-70 is good at

The 1400 mm body length is not just a size difference, it is the reason the GT-70 can make reliable tailgating decisions. A longer detection window means the system has more data points to work with before the trailing person reaches the arm, which translates into fewer missed events and fewer false closures. The main bottleneck in entry throughput is never the gate itself at 55 persons per minute, it is the time people spend locating credentials and authenticating. On the exit side, the fast arm cycle and infrared sensors mean people can walk through at normal pace without slowing down. Where the 1400 mm body becomes a consideration is in very tight spaces or near stairwells, where fitting the unit and maintaining safe clearance requires more careful planning.

Security & safety

Tailgating sensitivity is adjustable from a soft alert through to forced arm closure on detection, and can be tuned per site depending on visitor profile and tolerance for interruption. The detection range of the 1400 mm body is long enough to distinguish two people reliably even when the trailing person is close behind. Anti-pinch protection reverses the arm immediately on contact at any point in the stroke. On power cut or fire alarm the arms open automatically and stay open until the condition clears.

User experience

Entry is controlled, exit is fast. Infrared sensors on the exit side detect movement and open the arms without requiring a credential or button press, so outbound traffic flows without any interaction. Two LED indicators on top of the unit show pass or reject status clearly from several metres away, which keeps hesitation low during peak hours. At 1100 mm the wide lane option handles wheelchair users and people with large luggage without a separate accessibility gate.

Integration & customisation

Connects to any access control system over dry contact or RS485, with no proprietary middleware required. Reader mounts accept Mifare, EM, BLE, QR and biometric modules in any combination. Frame finish available in virtually any RAL powder coat colour, and logo printing on the glass arms is an option. Arm glass dimensions are configurable, and IP65 is available for covered outdoor installations.

Durability & environment

IP54 as standard, upgradeable to IP65. Rated for -20 to +55 degrees Celsius and up to 95 percent humidity non-condensing, covering unheated entrance halls, pool corridors and facilities that clean with chemicals daily. 15-million-cycle mechanical service life.

Modular mechanism with the highest-wear components accessible without dismantling the unit. Spare parts stocked locally in each market we operate in. Built-in error codes cut diagnosis time on the first visit. Maintenance agreements and technical support in Finnish, Swedish, English and Spanish available on request.
