Ole.Fit: chain-wide RFID credential supply across more than 60 franchise gyms
Ole.Fit is one of Finland's largest gym chains, with more than 60 locations across the country, the majority operating under a franchise model. Gatech supplies RFID key fobs and access cards printed with the chain's branding to locations across the network, holding tens of thousands of tags in stock at our Turku warehouse and shipping within a day of order. Because each franchise owner is free to choose their own access control system, Gatech also handles the work of identifying the correct credential type for each location.
Results
As a franchise chain, each Ole.Fit location is free to choose its own access control system and supplier, which means the chain runs on a wide range of different systems. For Gatech this means the correct RFID credential type is not a given for any single location, and getting it wrong means tags that do not work with the gym's existing readers. At the same time, locations need a reliable supply of branded key fobs and cards without running out — even when a shortage is only noticed at short notice.
Gatech holds tens of thousands of RFID key fobs and cards printed with Ole.Fit branding in stock at our Turku warehouse, and ships orders within a day, so locations are never left waiting. To identify the correct credential type, Gatech first establishes which access control system the location runs, which in most cases is enough to determine the right product. Where that is not conclusive, the remaining variable is almost always whether the system reads MIFARE 1K Classic tags as a 4-byte or 7-byte UID; in those cases Gatech sends both versions for the location to test and reports back which one works. From the gym owner's side this is a simple test-and-report process, but it requires Gatech to run a few checks in the background to confirm the credential type with certainty. Every time, the correct type has been identified — with very little effort required from the owner.

Available as cards, key fobs and wristbands, with custom printing and numbering. Compatible with the vast majority of access control systems. For offices and higher-security environments, DESFire EV2/EV3 tags are recommended instead.
