Compact swing gate for depth-constrained entrances
The Denia has a 280 mm body depth with fully retracting arms, making it the right choice when floor space in the depth direction is the limiting factor.
Passage width from 600 to 1000 mm, arms up to 1200 mm high, and integrated reader recess for QR, face recognition, RFID and NFC.
Available in any RAL powder coat colour as standard.
Description
What the Denia is good at
Most speed gates need clear space in front of and behind the body for the arm to swing through. The Denia eliminates that requirement with a 280 mm body and arms that retract fully inside on opening, which opens up installation locations that standard-depth gates cannot reach. The most common use case is a retail or grocery store entrance where the goal is simple: entry is controlled, exit is free. A microwave sensor on the exit side detects outgoing movement and opens the arms automatically, so the short body does not create any friction for outbound traffic. For self-checkout lanes, a QR reader integrated into the gate body lets customers scan their receipt to exit, with no separate hardware needed.
Security & safety
At 1200 mm arm height the gate presents a physical deterrent that is genuinely difficult to step over, which matters in unmanned or lightly supervised entrances. Tailgating detection triggers an alarm on unauthorised following, and reverse-direction attempts are detected and alarmed separately. Anti-pinch protection reverses the arm on contact. On power loss or fire alarm the arms open automatically and remain open until the condition is cleared.
User experience
The retracting arm means the passage feels fully open when authorised, with nothing protruding into the lane. The integrated reader recess keeps credential hardware flush with the body, which matters in narrow corridors where a protruding bracket would create an obstacle. Tri-colour LED status shows blue on standby, green on authorised passage and red on rejection. At 30 persons per minute the gate handles steady retail traffic without becoming a queue.
Integration & customisation
The integrated reader recess accommodates QR code scanners, face recognition modules, RFID and NFC readers. Exit side works with a microwave motion sensor for free outbound flow, or with any credential reader for controlled exit. Connects to any access control system via relay interface. Available in any RAL powder coat colour as standard.
Durability & environment
IP54, rated for -20 to +55 degrees Celsius and the cleaning and humidity conditions typical of grocery and retail entrances. The retracting arm has fewer external moving parts exposed to impact than a standard swing arm, which contributes to longevity in high-traffic installations. Minimum 10-million-cycle mechanical service life.
